Soldiers

We arrived in New Orleans yesterday evening. We had a great ride leaving from Texas until we hit Louisiana the. All hell broke loose; we got hit with a down pour visibility 0. . . Cars and trucks on the freeway stopped and of course we did not have our rain gear on and had to creep along until we found an exit to the gas station.

We quickly changed our gear and that was a challenge in soaked drenched clothes. Once the down pour became regular rain we rode the rest of the way into New Orleans in off and on rain showers.

All I can say is "I thought I was in a swimming pool during the down pour'.

So folks today we got our azz's. Kicked but all in all what an experience to put under your belt.

Once we arrived Big Daddy And Ken greeted Daffy and Special Kay with a big hug and told us how proud he was of us for making this ride.

Now we are in the Hotel and it's time for introductions. . . Dream Maker is very excited and bragging about the 2 ladies who rode from California 2 the round up on a Sportster and was telling their story to any who'd listen.

Daffy and Special K hugged each other and said we made it

You all know, its time for a drink.

Until next time

Lady Red is in the house; wish you were here. :) ONE LOVE, RED BONE

Special K & I went on a women's only ride with three other ladies - Annie & Betty Boo from Chicago & a lady from the New Orleans chapter. By the way, Annie is married to the founder of the Buffalo Soldiers, Dreammaker. Ms. New Orleans took us around Lake Pontchartrain, thru a park & some neighborhoods. We ended the ride by rollin up Bourbon street on our hogs. Folks were snapping pictures & taking videos of us. Very cool! It was a nice ride with some nice ladies. It feels great to be part of a sistahood of lady riders.
