Day 4 On The Ground
Pictures are coming, after they are resized for web

Soldiers, we've been treated to dinner and now breakfast by Special K's daughter Donella, who some of you will meet in NO.  We have a short ride today 248 miles to Houston to pay a visit to Calvin Jefferson Sr. before heading to Beaumont TX to visit with some of my cousins.  As Carl said, we weathered some intense heat and wind on the way here but we made it through, Hallelujah.

Here's a couple of pictures make sure to stay in touch with us during the ride, and we'll do the same.  Special shout out to Special K, and Daffy they have earned stripe their stripes for there fortitude, along with Major Motion.  While riding is seemingly easy; it takes endurance at some times and the elements can challenge the most experienced riders.

Another great day on the road. We spent the night at Special Kay's daughter's house yesterday. . . She cooked a great dinner and breakfast for us. We hung out for while then we left for Pearland Texas around noon.

Now we are hanging out with Calvin's dad and sister, eating dinner. 2morrow we will visit the Buffalo Soldiers museum then roll into New Orleans todays weather was hot, humid and we caught a little rain.

Oh and that's Daffy and Major Motion pounding the pavement behind me. And yes I took the picture with my Black Berry.

Sunday, August 16th, Pearland, Texas 10:15PM I've been riding since March 2009 & I'm already riding cross country. Unbelievable! This is the best vacation I've had so far. To be able to see this beautiful country from a bike & meet so many nice people is a blessing. Much love to one g, red bone & major motion for their leadership on the road. You guys are the bomb! Big ups to my sista friend Special K. We Rollin baby we Rollin! Thanks to the soldiers who have sent emails, called & texted their love, best wishes & encouragement. We really appreciate it.

Next stop Nawlins!

Daffy

The New Orleans 5 was happy after we conquered our 664 mile day. We celebrated with a toast to mark our accomplishment.

A Toast...

Pearland Texas; never heard of it until we stopped here to visit Red Bones father and sister.

The look on Red Bones face when his dad rode up and they greeted each other with a hug was priceless. We ended the night hanging out at Bj's restaurant; man we had a great time I can honestly say I enjoyed pops company as much as Red Bone. Glad I got the opportunity to meet him.

Until next time. As Red Bone says wish you were here.

So this is Pops.
