“I don’t try to explain to people why I ride a motorcycle. For those who have experienced the joy, no explanation is necessary; for those who haven’t, no explanation is possible.”

I started riding in 1966 as a teenager, riding street bikes, choppers (Triumphs/Hondas), and finally coming to the point of appreciating the comforts of a touring bike (once called Full Dressers) in 1988, which of course was a Honda Gold Wing.  I've been riding Gold Wings ever since.  My riding experience consisted of street riding, street racing, quarter mile drag racing, and Cross Country Touring.

In my touring travels throughout the United States as a solo rider, I gained friends from a number of states: Illinois, Kentucky, Ohio, Washington DC, Missouri, Florida, Georgia, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Arizona, and Nevada. I once wrote articles for the Brotherhood Bikers News Letter (Lady Harddrive, Houston, TX) and subsequently meet “Road Dog”, from the Buffalo Soldiers M/C, Florida chapter. “Road Dog” encouraged me to consider being a member of the Buffalo Soldiers M/C.

In 1999, I was accepted as a Member At Large of the Buffalo Soldier M/C and became the founder of the Sacramento, CA chapter during the summer of 1999.

I try to encourage people to get into the sport of motorcyle riding, in hopes of sharing the wonderful experiences with all. I like to see riders sharpen their skills and master their own cycles to the bikes design. What is probably one of the most rewarding experiences is for me to see women overcome their fears of riding, and master the art of riding. I have had the privilege of meeting women who are excellent riders, who put most males to shame, by handling their bikes, including riding and touring the United States highways (which most riders in the community never do).

Ride safe, and I hope we meet on the road.

OK riders, come ride with the Buffalo Soldiers M/C
