"D-Train"... Born Damon M. Lowry on February 26, 1968 in Philadelphia, Pa. I moved to California in January 2004 and am the proud Father of two absolutely beautiful girls, DeAnna & DeNeen and currently expecting my third child with "Chiquita". This will be the third for the both of us. I have two girls and so does she so, needless to say, we are praying for a boy but will love what God blesses us with just the same. I have two older brothers and one younger sister. I work for Union Pacific Railroad as a Locomotive Engineer ( I drive the train) and have been with the railroad since March '04. After almost six (6) years on the job, I am proud to still be able to say that I absolutely love my job.
I first became interested in the Buffalo Soldiers, about eight (8) years ago, after talking with my dad who fellowshiped with them in Philly. Although not a member, he was very complimentary of the things that they stood for and the manner in which they carried themselves. That sparked an undying interest in me to one day become a Buffalo Soldier but at the time I didn't have a bike. Sometime in mid '07, I ran into "Big Ru" at a gas station and told him that I was interested in becoming a Soldier and he gave me his contact info and I told him that I would contact him when I got a bike. Not long after, I lost all of my contacts out of my phone (I'm sure you can relate) and had no way of contacting him. On August 14, 2009, Chiquita and I strolled into the Harley Dealer and purchased our bike and just as we were about to leave I spotted "Dreamer". He got me back in touch with "Big Ru" and the Buffalo Soldiers and on Saturday November 21, 2009, I was sworn in as a PROUD Buffalo Soldier. Big shout out to "Ru", "Dreamer" and all of my Buffalo Soldier brothers and sisters around the world.
My "Horse" is a, 2009 Harley Davidson Road King Classic (FLHRC).
I am very proud of the rich history of the Buffalo Soldiers and will continue to spread my knowledge of them and their accomplishments to as many people as I possibly can.
